The summer term always flies by at school in an exciting rush of trips, plays, parent-teacher evenings and the final joy of seeing how much progress children have made by the end of the year. There is also heaps happening out and about and here is what we’ve been up to at Belgravia Education this term.
We were lucky enough to slip in a visit to the cinema to see “Miles Ahead” and loved learning about of our favourite musicians. This film was followed shortly after by “The Nice Guys”, which had us chuckling away at the antics of two American private eyes. We’d happily recommend both films to you, the first to learn something new and the second to have a good laugh.
Food and drink
Our new find this month has been a restaurant called “Nanban” in Brixton, which prides itself on serving Japanese “soul food”. We’d heard about it on social media and decided to give it a try while we were in the area. Who knew chicken feet could taste so good‽ Definitely one to try for some unusual Asian dishes that are also influenced by seasonal produce from the local market.
The book that has rocked our world this month is called “Stuffocation“. This book was one that made us really sit up and think about our lives. Do we want to be people who own 32 (insert number as you see fit) items in our homes or could we be satisfied by using our hard won earnings on experiences instead? This is an informative book that keeps you turning the pages and evaluating your own life and decisions right up to the end. A must-read!
